Studies of architecture and psychology in Germany at the Technical
University Braunschweig, Leibniz University of Hannover and the Technical University of Berlin. I worked in several international design research projects e. g. in Barcelona and Paris and taught for
11 years at the University of Hannover and the Technical University of Dresden. Then I operated as executive vice-president for the media agency MACINA Hannover/ Dubai, before I took over the
chief executive position at the International Design Centre Berlin (IDZ).
In August 2009 I became Managing Director of bayern design, the governmental funded design promotion institute of the Federal State of Bavaria located in Munich and Nuremberg. There I initiate design and architecture programs, events and trainings including the worldwide known Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW). I am involved with innovation strategies, sustainable design solutions, design research and design thinking methods. Another focus of my work is the enhancement of international networks and exchange programs. Furthermore I participate in several national and international juries.
